This had some of the great artists during this time including, Yaga y Mackie, Nicky Jam, Tego Calderon and Speedy. If you ask me this is one of the things this genre needs right now. Compilation albums helped artists get their names out there but it seems like most artists are too cocky to want to be in these kind of CDs anymore. Hopefully we see some more of these this year including Gargolas 6, Sangre Nueva 2 and Mas Flow 3.

Well here is this friday's Throwback! As all of you know in Reggaeton History the biggest albums that came out were various artists albums, now when you think about various artist albums you think of great series like Mas Flow, Playero, The Noise, No Fear, The Flow and others but also you have to think of Desafio which unfortunally hasn't had a sequel like other various artist albums, eventhought a part 2 of the album was announced we haven't seen it release for years, hopefully there will be a part 2 in the near future, Here is Desafio from the great year of 2003, This album had many great hits like the Desafio Mix featuring the best Reggaeton artists at the time and some of them are even bigger stars now, also the famous Tempo & Mexicano track as well as Miralos from Don Omar, En La Disco Bailoteo from Wisin & Yandel and other hits from Zion & Lennox, Alexis & Fido, Baby Rasta & Gringo and others, even some unknown artists that never really made it to now are in this album, Enjoy!!

Here you go, this one is a straight out classic from the year 2002. Damn I miss those days were these albums would come out with all the good artists all on one album. Compilation albums were the best, solo albums kinda get boring after listening to the same artist for 15 tracks. These albums had variety in them. Check this throwback out, this is a perfect example of this.

Alright so theres lots of people who started listening to this genre when Gasolina released or maybe even after that. To many of you Pina Records might just seem as the label that Nicky Jam and RKM y Ken-Y were a part of. But Pina Records was HUGE back then. They were responsible for many big name artists. For example: Lito y Polaco, MC Ceja, Sir Speedy and even the king of kings Don Omar! This album is a classic and just shows you how much power this label had just a few years ago. Great throwback, check it out.
